So far, the use of the new video conferencing units at all 3 campuses has been quite regular & very positive. Here's a few important reminders when booking your next video conference session:
1: Book the rooms first! It is critical that the rooms at each campus that will be involved in the video conference be booked BEFORE you even consider having a session. Please note that the responsibility for booking a room is yours - the IT/Technical Resources staff CANNOT book rooms at any of the campuses for you.
2: After your rooms have been booked, please enter a job into Jobdesk (see the link below). You MUST state the following information when booking a video conference:
- The date, start time & duration of the video conference - Which campuses are involved in the conference eg, Clayton to Gippsland, Peninsula to Clayton, Gippsland to Clayton & Peninsula - Who the main contact person is at each location (so that we can notify them of the booking) - Who the owner of the booking is (in case there are changes to the booking) - If you require assistance
Please remember that the IT/Technical Services Team CANNOT book rooms for you - this is your responsibility. Please see your local rooms booking staff for further assistance. If you have any problems with the video conferencing equipment, please contact the local IT Support Service listed below:
Clayton - Technical Services Support - extension 59099 Peninsula - Technical Services Support - extension 44320 Gippsland - ITS Service Desk - extension 26777
