I work at the newly established Institute of Advanced Study at the University of Newcastle, and I am writing to you to tell you about one of our projects here.
We are currently setting up an interdisciplinary and international network for PhD students and academics working on social issues in the Asia-Pacific region. The network is called TiSSA.AP (The international Study of Society Academy Asia-Pacific), and it is modelled on the highly successful European network TiSSA. We are hoping to gain expressions of interest in this network from people in various disciplines, but in particular of researchers in history, social work, sociology and education (see attached flyer).
