Eligibility Exemption and Ruling Requests Do you need to apply for an Eligibility Exemption/Ruling? Most applicants will NOT require an eligibility exemption or ruling however these may be requested from the ARC for: 1. Medical/dental research whether the project is more appropriate for the ARC or NHMRC 2. APDI Eligibility: (a) proposed Fellow has been awarded a PhD more than 3 years prior to the relevant round closing date (b) proposed Fellow does not have a PhD and will not be submitting a PhD within 6 months after the close of applications (c) proposed Fellow does not hold a PhD or equivalent research doctorate obtained within the relevant 3 year period but seeks recognition of equivalent research qualification and experience 3. Researcher role CI/PI 4. Conflict of interest CI/APDI Financial interests or positions held with any of the proposed Partner Organisation/s involved in the project. 5. Partner organisation (a) Organisation type and/ or (b) Exemption from minimum 20% cash contribution 6. Other
